News - OIDA Manufacturing Forum Organized by Bill Ring a
success
In April 2008, the OIDA forum Manufacturing for the 21st Century was held in San Jose, CA
at the Double Tree Hotel. The forum organized by Bill Ring discussed several key aspects
of manufacturing in the optical industry including trends and issues for manufacturing in
North America. Several key companies in the space, including Celestica, Fabrinet, Emcore,
Schott Electronics and Infinera discussed topic ranging from Supply chain to solar and PV
manufacturing. More information is available in the April 2008 OIDA newletter.
As the OIDA organiser, a report is being prepared by Bill Ring based on the discussions at
the forum. This report will be available through the OIDA book store in the near future.
